Your First Night, Step by Step
Walking into a martial arts gym for the first time is the hardest part. Here's exactly what happens once you do — no surprises, no pressure, no live sparring on night one.
Guests are always welcome to show up and watch a class. Prefer to call ahead? We'll have an instructor ready to greet you.

Warm Up With the Class
You'll join the group warm-up — movement, stretching, and drills to get you loose. Go at your own pace.

Learn the Fundamentals
An instructor walks you through a few foundational techniques, then you'll practice them with a partner.

No Sparring for You Yet
There's no live sparring for brand-new students on the first night. You'll join live rounds only when you're ready.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to call and schedule a visit?
No. Guests are always welcome to show up and watch a class. If you feel more comfortable calling ahead, we'll have an instructor ready to greet you.
What should I wear to my first class?
Comfortable workout clothes — gym shorts and a well-fitting t-shirt or compression shirt work best.
What is a typical class like?
Every class has three phases: warm-ups, technique and drilling, then live sparring for experienced students.
Do I have to spar?
No one is pressured into anything they're not ready for. Eventually, sparring is how you learn movement and timing — but the goal is to refine technique, never to hurt anyone.
Will my child learn how to handle bullying?
Yes. Our children's program is built on the 3 P's: Prevent, Prepare, and Protect. We teach kids to avoid conflict whenever possible — and to be ready if they ever need to defend themselves.
Do I have to commit to a long-term contract?
No. We don't believe in locking students into year-long contracts.
Will I be training alongside professional fighters?
Possibly! Several amateur and professional fighters train here regularly — and they often help newer students learn.
Am I too old or out of shape for martial arts?
No. We have students of all ages and fitness levels, and we'll ease you into the program. The only way to improve your conditioning is to get started.
How much does membership cost?
