Today MMA is practiced by men and women, some wanting to fighters and others simply wanting to attain the skill and knowledge to have in their daily life.

Boxing

This style is the sweet science of striking using your hands. Classes includes basic to advanced level using stance, footwork, slipping, evasion and striking with a variety of combinations. Students utilize heavy bags, focus mitts, skipping rope, and the spider web drill. This class is great for street – self defense, getting in shape or those wanting to fight in the ring. It is one of the best striking arts in the world.

Panantukan

Panantukan is not a sport but rather a street oriented system. The art uses the same tools as boxing but adds elbows, knees, headbutts, and illegal blows. It is also known as Filipino “dirty” Boxing with street capabilities for Real situation. It has a strong blend of Jeet Kune Do and trapping elements. In our classes you will learn both Boxing and Panantukan. This gives you a edge in the street or in MMA.

Muay Thai

Muay Thai is known as the art of eight limbs. Hands, elbows, knees, and kicks. The art also teaches some of the most effective clinching techniques. It is a national sport in Thailand. It is a effective art for superior self-defense and is extremely practical. Muay Thai specializes in powerful kicks and strikes to include knees and elbows and standing grappling.

Dutch Kickboxing

Dutch Style Kickboxing is a form of Muay Thai that originated from the Netherlands. The Dutch style incorporates Muay Thai for its basics but also has a strong influence in Boxing and Japanese Kickboxing. One of the differences is they are extremely effective at boxing. Using there hands to set up kicks and vice versa. There are also striking to knees and back out to striking again. They throw a barrage of hard low-kicks, and heavy boxing. On the surface they are similar to Muay Thai but also very different. Dutch Kickboxing has a strong part in today’s modern MMA as well due to the movements and combinations.

Jeet Kune Po

This is the name Bruce Lee gave to his own theories and concepts. This art or concept of fighting is effective and limitless. It incorporates ranges of combat and their sub-ranges as well with seamless flow from one to the other. JKD uses the most direct lines of attack.

Filipino Martial Arts/Weapons KALI

Filipino Martial Arts is a extremely effective and battle tested weapon based system. The bulk of your training is with the use of a stick or knife. However, there are various empty hand techniques taken from this. This art develops hand-eye coordination, perception and awareness to name a few. It gives you the ability to use everyday objects to defend yourself if need be. Wrestling/Submission Wrestling

Wrestling is a combat sport involving grappling techniques such as takedowns, clinching, pins, holds, throws and joint locks. In a attempt to gain control or superior positioning. It has a wide range of styles with varying rules. Here is some wrestling styles inside of this historic combat art: Greco-Roman, Folk Style, Freestyle, Pankration, Catch-As-Catch, Collegiate or Scholastic, Sambo, and others.

Israeli Combat (Krav Maga)

Contact combat is a self-defense system developed for the military in Israel that consists of a wide combination of technique from Hapkido, Judo, Boxing, Muay Thai, and others. Known for its no non-sense approach for real world situations, it has extremely efficient and brutal counter attacks.

Karate/Tae Kwon Do

Karate is from Japan and is a striking art with kicking, knees, and elbows. The movements are crisp and linear. They use various blocks and open-hand techniques.

Tae Kwon Do is from Korea and mainly uses kicking techniques as their primary weapons. While they use striking and hands they focus on kicks such as side kick, axe kick, round kick and others.
